As the Turkish Thoracic Society (TTS), we are proud, excited, and delighted to announce that our 30th Annual Congress with International Participation will take place from 24–28 March 2027 at Rixos Sungate Hotel, Antalya. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to this important scientific gathering.

This year, we have chosen “Peace in Every Breath, From Tradition to the Future” as the motto of our 30^th Annual Congress. One of the most important reasons for choosing this motto is that our Congress marks its 30^th anniversary, an important milestone, while our Society is also approaching its 35^th year since establishment. At the same time, we believe that our enduring mission of improving lung health to the highest possible standard cannot be considered independently of the challenges facing our world today.

In a world where wars continue between countries, human interaction and social cohesion are being disrupted, economic difficulties and inequalities persist, respect for science is declining, and sensitivity towards the environment and nature is diminishing, achieving our goal of improving human health and, consequently, lung health is becoming increasingly challenging. For this reason, we believe that we must act without delay to address these negative developments and emphasize the importance of promoting and implementing peace in every aspect of life.

We are preparing our scientific program with the valuable contributions of TTS members, our working groups, branches, and special committees.

We would like to emphasize from the outset that we are committed to organizing a congress in which all stakeholders feel an integral part of this important gathering, experience the privilege of being a TTS member and partner, and participate in a scientifically and socially rich event worthy of its 30^th anniversary—one that will remain memorable for a long time.

Let us not forget that we are stronger together.

Our Congress meets the requirements of Article 8(b) of the Associate Professorship Criteria specified by the Interuniversity Board and fulfills the academic promotion criteria.

Abstracts may be submitted until 22 January 2027, 24:00.

Important Notes and Submission Rules

Abstracts must be submitted online through the congress website using the abstract submission system. Authors must first create a user account and obtain a username and password. Please note that abstracts created within the system are recorded for evaluation only after the submission process has been completed and approved. Therefore, please ensure that your abstract has been successfully submitted and registered in the system.

Abstracts submitted by e-mail or regular mail outside the online submission system will not be accepted. Since accepted abstracts will be published exactly as submitted, authors are advised to carefully check for spelling and formatting errors. Abstracts submitted by authors who are not registered for the congress will not be published in the abstract book.

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

• The abstract text, excluding the title and author information, must not exceed 500 words.
• Abstracts may be submitted in Turkish or English.
• The first letter of each word in the title should be capitalized. Exceptions may be made for scientific terms where lowercase letters carry specific meaning (e.g., pH, NaCl). No period should be placed at the end of the title, and an appropriate topic category must be selected.
• The title should be clear, concise, and accurately describe the study.
• Academic titles should not be included in author names.
• Author names should be written with only the first letter capitalized.
• The full names and addresses of the authors’ institutions must be provided.
• If abbreviations are used, the full term should be written out at first mention, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.
• The objective of the study and the methods used should be briefly described; findings should be summarized with sufficient numerical detail, and conclusions should be based on the presented results.
• Abstracts should follow a structured format with the headings: Introduction and Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion. For case reports, the headings should be Introduction, Case, and Conclusion.
• At least three keywords must be provided. Keywords should be selected from MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) terms.
• A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 references should be included at the end of the abstract.
• Up to three image files (JPEG or PNG) may be uploaded for each abstract, if desired. Uploaded files may include tables or figures.
• Abstracts will be accepted in either Original Research or Case Report format. Authors should select the most appropriate category during submission.
• Abstracts that do not comply with the submission guidelines will be excluded from evaluation regardless of their scientific content.

Abstract Evaluation

All submitted abstracts will undergo a blinded peer-review process conducted by members of the Scientific Review Committee. During evaluation, author names and institutional affiliations will remain confidential. The Abstract Evaluation Committee will review all submissions online.

Authors will be notified of the review outcome via e-mail and will receive either an Acceptance Letter or a Rejection Letter based on the reviewers’ recommendations.

Oral Presentations

The presentation duration will be determined after acceptance letters have been issued and will be specified in the acceptance notification.

Presentations should generally be structured as follows:

• Introduction and Objective (1–2 slides)
• Methods (1–2 slides)
• Results (2–3 slides)
• Discussion and Conclusion (1–2 slides)

E-Poster Presentations

E-posters must be prepared as a single-page PDF file not exceeding 10 MB in size. Authors will be required to upload their posters to the system during the submission period, which will be announced later.

Travel Grant Evaluation Criteria

As in previous years, the Turkish Thoracic Society will provide congress participation grants to young colleagues who are Society members and whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation.

The allocation of congress grants will be determined by the Executive Board of the Turkish Thoracic Society. Announcements regarding grant applications will be published on the Society’s website, and applicants are encouraged to follow these updates regularly.

Turkish Thoracic Society 30^th Annual Congress will be held at Susesi Hotel & Congress Center.

Congress Dates

Turkish Thoracic Society 30^th Annual Congress will start on 24 March 2027 with courses continue with the sessions on 25 March 2027 and will end on 28 March 2027 at 12:00 noon.

Language

The official congress language is Turkish. Simultaneous translation will be available for international sessions and speakers.

Badge

All registered participants will be provided with a badge. In order to ensure proper organization of the congress, participants are kindly requested to wear their badges at all scientific and social activities.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates of attendance will be uploaded to the website within 5 days following the end of the congress. Participants will be able to obtain their certificates using their name and surname.

Invitation Letter / Permission Letter

Invitation letters requested for submission to institutions regarding congress participation will be sent to participants upon request via the congress secretariat. Such invitation letters may only be used for official leave/permission purposes. Guests holding an invitation letter are responsible for their own registration and accommodation fees.

* Active member status can be obtained by paying TTS membership fee for at least one last year.

Registration and course fees are exclude of VAT of %20 yerine VAT (20%) will be added to registration and course fees.

• For participants registering on a daily basis, an additional external participation fee of 110 € + KDV per day will be charged on top of the congress registration fee. Guests who do not book accommodation are required to pay this external participation fee together with their registration fee in order to access the congress center. The external participation fee for non-accommodating guests includes lunch and coffee breaks between 08:30–18:00.
• All speakers, delegates and company representatives are required to pay the registration fee to participate in sessions.
• Registration will only be considered valid after the following steps are completed: sending your request to toraks2027@k2-events.com , receiving the budget from us, confirming the budget, and submitting the bank receipt showing that the required payments have been made to the designated account(s) either to K2 Congress and Event Services directly or via e-mail. Applications submitted only with a bank receipt, or requests without prior budget confirmation, will not be accepted and will be placed on the waiting list.

• The above package rates are excluding VAT (10%), based on 4 nights (March 24 check-in – March 28 check-out) under the all-inclusive concept.
• 10% VAT will be added to all accommodation fees.

External Participation Fee

• Participants not booking accommodation through K2 Congress & Event Services in congress hotels will be charged an additional €110 + VAT (20%) per day as an external participation fee.
• This fee must be paid together with the registration fee in order to access the congress venue.
• The external participation fee covers lunches and coffee breaks between 08:30–18:00.

Accommodation Booking Procedure

Accommodation bookings will be confirmed only after:

1. A budget proposal is requested by contacting toraks2027@k2-events.com
2. The proposed budget is approved, and
3. The related payment receipt (bank slip) is submitted to K2 Congress & Event Services either by e-mail or in person.

• Applications submitted only with a bank slip or without budget confirmation will not be accepted and will be placed on the waiting list.

Cancellation Policy
All reservation cancellations must be submitted in writing to K2 Congress and Event Services.

• Cancellations notified by 08 January 2027 will be eligible for a full refund of the accommodation fee.
• Cancellations notified between 22 January 2027 and 29 January 2027 will be eligible for a 50% refund of the accommodation fee.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after 29 January 2027.
